Education Perfect (EP): Advancing Digital Transformation in K12 Education

Established in 2017, New Zealand-based Education Perfect (EP) is driven by the mission to 'humanise technology' to advance digital transformation in K12 education. Developed by and with teachers, Education Perfect is a complete digital teaching and learning toolkit for schools, helping teachers to redefine teaching and learning experiences in line with the requirements of the 21st century.

"There has never been such an opportunity to elevate the role of an educator and of a parent through data and insights, creating more time for the development of higher-order thinking and soft skill development for children," notes Loucas Gatzoulis, Chief Technology Officer at Education Perfect. "Our vision is to be the trusted expert in engaging and empowering every student with effective online learning; providing a continuous and actionable view of learning progress for teachers, school leaders, students and their parents, globally."

Education Perfect's core strength lies in being an engaging, cross-curriculum, and multi-year level full-school solution that can bring all stakeholders together to support every child's learning. This holistic approach unlocks tremendous benefits using deep data and insights for schools, teachers, students, and their parents.

For students, Education Perfect provides a fun and engaging learning experience that is carefully scaffolded and adaptive to their needs, helping them build confidence and improve their understanding.

When it comes to teachers, Education Perfect saves them time by providing a rich bank of resources and easy tools for differentiation, along with actionable insights into their students' learning. At the same time, Education Perfect helps school leaders consolidate their resources and gives them confidence that their teachers and students have the right tools to drive learning growth across the school.

Parents, on the other hand, can utilize easy-to-digest information about their child's progress and work to be completed so that they can meaningfully support the learning.
Education Perfect is already ahead of the curve in the education industry that is undergoing a significant transition, shifting from traditional learning management systems to learning experience platforms. With schools across the globe thrust into remote learning due to COVID-19, there has been a rapid uptake of digital solutions for teaching and learning. This presents a generational opportunity for Education Perfect to work with a large number of schools that previously weren't far along in their digital transformation journey.

Our vision is to be the trusted expert in engaging and empowering every student with effective online learning; providing a continuous and actionable view of learning progress for teachers, school leaders, students and their parents, globally

Moreover, Education Perfect complements the feature set of Google and Microsoft—which are now ubiquitous in schools—exceptionally well, with an emphasis on student engagement, differentiation, out-of-the-box content, and deep data insights for all stakeholders. "Integrations and partnerships with Google and Microsoft are an essential element of our product strategy, especially as traditional LMSs gradually fall away," shares Gatzoulis. With the breadth of its toolkit and multiple subjects, Education Perfect has the opportunity to be the consolidator. Key strategies include integrations with other important products like LMSs, student management systems, and data layers within schools.

With such a robust toolset in its arsenal, Education Perfect proved instrumental in helping Armidale High School, a co-educational, partially selective secondary school in the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. Armidale High School has a commitment to 21st-century learning. Technology is viewed as a key factor in teaching languages at Armidale High School. Teachers and students use iPads and Chromebooks, and part of the teaching and learning is completed through apps, online programs, and online communication tools. One of the key online learning platforms used at Armidale High school is Education Perfect. It provides an opportunity to make language learning more engaging and interesting for students, especially for more 'boring' aspects such as grammar. It also provides instant feedback to both students and teachers about learning progress.

Developed over 10+ year period, Education Perfect is being already used by 1 million+ students, 50,000+ teachers, in 3,000+ schools across 50+ countries. Education Perfect is a fast-growing private equity-owned technology business and currently has a team of 200+ talented EPeeps. With its headquarters in Dunedin, New Zealand, the company has 5+ shared offices across wider NZ, Australia, Singapore, and Dubai. As a proud B-Corp certified business, Education Perfect balances being a for-profit company that is purposeful and considerate of the impact that business decisions have on its team, customers, the wider community, and the environment. The company also is a global advocate for equitable access to education and it supports several education-focused non-for-profit organizations.

Education Perfect is leveraging the wealth of data collected over the years to provide insights into the performance of individual schools and students. Education Perfect is also heavily investing in predictive analytics to identify potential gaps and challenges in specific areas or subjects to provide a personalized and differentiated learning and teaching experience to its users.
